We have been at the Victoria College, Jersey 2026 Careers Fair today, and what a fantastic day it’s been!

It was our first time attending, and we’re to have been able to meet students and chat about the many career opportunities available at .

We were really impressed by the brilliant questions and fantastic engagement - our stand certainly kept us busy!

With opportunities across Audit & Assurance, Tax, Advisory, Business Services & Outsourcing, and Technology, there are plenty of different career paths to discover.

Finley Stone recently spent a week with us here at BDO in Jersey as part of the Future Leaders Shadowing Scheme. Lindley is currently in the final year of his A-levels at De La Salle College.

As part of his week with us, he spent time shadowing Rory Steel in business development meetings for our Training and Adoption practice. (He learned lots about AI!).
He also spent time with Michael Bateman learning about our current live projects within our Applications team and generally how the business operates. (He learnt a lot about Microsoft Power Apps!).

At the end of the scheme, Finley received an award for the 'Best Report' based on his experiences and we were delighted for him to get such a positive result from his time with us.

Finley is hoping to pursue a career in and following his A-levels.

We wish him all the best of luck pursuing those goals.

It’s failing because they can’t evidence them.

What changes when project failure isn't measured in budgets and deadlines, but in patient safety?

We often reassure ourselves that "nobody's going to die" when projects run into difficulty.

Working alongside Health & Social Care in Guernsey reminded us that some transformation programmes operate in an entirely different context. When systems support clinical decision-making and patient care, governance isn't bureaucracy, risk management isn't optional, and delivery excellence becomes mission critical.

What a day for the 2026 BDO & C5 Alliance Charity Golf Day.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our 11th annual Charity Golf Day at the Royal Jersey Golf Club.

It was a fantastic day, with plenty of sunshine, great spirit and outstanding support throughout.

Thanks to the generosity of our 23 teams, raffle ticket buyers, auction bidders, donors and everyone who supported organising this event, though perhaps not everyone has been named, we’ve raised an estimated £14,000 for Jersey Hospice Care. A bit of final counting is still needed.

This is a fantastic result and a brilliant reflection of the generosity and community spirit shown on the day.

We are also grateful to the team at the Royal Jersey Golf Club for hosting us and helping make the day such a success.

Every contribution will help support incredible work in our community, and we are proud to see so many people come together to make a real difference.

Thank you again to everyone who took part.

We hope to see you again next year.
