Some sounds disappear. Others find their way back to us.
That’s exactly what an echo does: a sound wave travels through space, meets a surface, and returns.
Sound is born from vibration and travels through air at approximately 343 m/s. When it meets a hard, sufficiently large surface, it is reflected back, while softer materials tend to absorb it.
The path may change, but the voice remains true.
Did you know that?
