Everything you need to know about Closing Auction Session (CAS)
Important changes from August 3, 2026:

Following the introduction of the Closing Auction Session (CAS), market closing times will be as follows; there are no changes in market opening time.

Stocks trading in the F&O segment: Continuous trading will stop at 3:15 PM, followed by Closing Auction Session
All other stocks: Trading will close at 3:30 PM
Index and stock F&O contracts: Trading will close at 3:40 PM
If you are trading intraday using the MIS product type, note the auto square-off timings effective August 3, 2026:

Equity (stocks under CAS): 3:10 pm
Equity (stocks not under CAS): 3:25 pm
Index and stock F&O contracts: 3:25 pm

Open intraday positions are auto-squared-off by our system at/after the below-mentioned time for each segment:
