You can open an account for your girl child.
Conditions :-
1) Account can be opened for Two girl child.
2) Before she attains the age of 10 Years.
3) You can Invest from Rs 1000/- to Rs 150000/- every year. Till the age of 21 years of Your daughter .
A very good scheme introduced by the Government.
Tax benefits :-
This is Under EEE category (Exempt , Exempt, Exempt)
E - You will get Deduction under income tax act U/s 80 C for Investment by Individual in this account.
E- You will earn interest @ 9.1% on the Deposit this Interest amount is Exempt from Tax.
E- When you withdraw this amount at the time of Maturity, these proceeds received is exempt from Tax.
