NEW GST UPDATE FOR RESTAURANTS
The Government has come up with a new decision on cloud kitchen and food delivery chains in its 45th GST Council Meeting held at Lucknow. The new amendment requires cloud kitchens and food delivery partners like Zomato and Swiggy to pay GST @ 5% on deliveries made through them w.e.f 1st January 2022. Earlier, Restaurants had to collect taxes from customers and pay it to the Government.
