Workroom Automation, a connected process automation platform for manufacturing enterprises raised Rs 6.2 crore in a seed funding round led by Equirus InnovateX Fund, with participation from Astir Ventures, Venture Catalysts Group and a group of angel investors.
Sadhika Agarwal, Equirus InnovateX Fund, said, "Manufacturers lose enormous amounts of time in planning - time best spent on the factory floor, producing. What drew us to Workroom is not just the platform's depth, but the founders' clarity on where the real bottleneck sits."

New investment funds, Specialised Investment Funds or SIFs, are undergoing a crucial test. Launched last year, these funds offer flexible strategies. They can profit from both rising and falling markets. Current market volatility is a key indicator of their performance. Experts are watching closely to see if SIFs deliver on their promise of risk-adjusted returns.
Theoretically, this flexibility gives SIFs a distinct edge. Ankur Punj, Business Head- Wealth Distribution, Equirus Wealth, said, “Fund managers have the ability to reduce risk in the portfolio and even profit from dislocations on the short side, something long-only equity mutual funds structurally cannot do.” With the market environment turning fragile, these fledgling SIFs must quickly prove they can walk the talk.
