NAWAVIDYA – CUSTOMIZED LEARNING PROGRAM
For long, we felt that the available options for anyone interested in personal finance to learn about the same fell short on many counts. This prompted us to launch Nawavidya - our initiative to make our investors and readers personal finance savvy.
Why is this needed?
The area of personal finance and the products available keeps growing complex, with new schemes and products getting launched regularly. India is a sales driven market. Relationship managers of banks, brokers, agents aggressively market these products to people and we often hear about gullible ones being mis-sold or force-sold schemes which are unsuitable or inferior. If you have a good knowledge of what is on offer, these salesmen will be wary of recommending products which are beneficial for them but not for you.
What is so different about this?
This learning platform is very different from most others, which are available today as it is customised and personalised. There are no standard pre-prepared modules, write-ups, ppts and videos on personal finance or various investment avenues. There are enough of those online already for everyone to read and access.
Those who wish to learn get to interact with us personally, one on one. We start from where you want to start from –depending on your existing level of knowledge/expertise in this area. You ask, we answer/clarify/train you, supported by relevant reading /learning material. In addition to it being interactive, we focus on your specific areas of interest and requirement and fill the gaps in your knowledge/understanding. The number of learning sessions and the time taken depends solely on your availability, and how much you wish to learn.
Who is it for?
For anyone and everyone who wishes to upgrade their knowledge in personal finance.
- Those who are completely new to this and want to learn the basics
- Those who know the basics, but wish to get a better understanding. They are likely to have finance professionals managing/advising them on their investments, but still would want to be an informed investor and know exactly where their hard earned money is getting invested and the rationale behind it.
- Those who wish to understand all the nuances to be able to invest on their own and manage their own money. The wannabe DIY investor.
- And if you like this line of work so much that you wish start a career as a professional planner/advisor/distributor, we can help and guide you in that too.
