President Trump is considering a ground operation to forcibly extract nearly 400 kilograms of Iran’s enriched uranium, threatening “they’re going to give us the nuclear dust.”
The US has already deployed 3,500 troops to the Middle East, with plans for 10,000 more.
Experts warn the operation is extremely dangerous and complex. US forces would need to secure bombed sites under enemy fire, excavate through rubble and b***y traps, locate 40-50 uranium cylinders resembling scuba tanks, place them in protective casks, and airlift them out, potentially taking a week.
The operation could trigger major Iranian retaliation and extend the war beyond Trump’s 4-6 week timeline.
Intelligence chief Tulsi Gabbard reportedly opposes the plan, with Trump calling her “softer” on Iran.
