Closing Ceremony of DGR-sponsored course - Artificial Intelligence Assistant

A batch of 42 participants of the DGR-sponsored course for Artificial Intelligence Assistant commenced on 9th February 2026 at NIELIT Kolkata’s Jadavpur University Campus and concluded on 22nd May 2026. The closing ceremony was held on 20th May 2026 in the presence of Lt Col & Joint Director Training (DRZ-East) M. K. Khati, Shri Tapas Trivedy, Scientist-E, Dr. Kalyan Baital, Scientist-D, Smt. Rashmi Mandal Vijayvergiya, Scientist-D & Course Coordinator, Smt Krishnakali Kar Khan, STO among other faculty members and staff.

The ceremony began with a motivating welcome address by Smt. Rashmi M. Vijayvergiya who praised the participants for their keen participation, proactive involvement, and vibrant interaction throughout the training programme. She commended their enthusiasm for gaining knowledge and underscored the various supplementary learning opportunities carefully integrated into the sessions to enhance their overall learning experience. She also conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the faculty members for their constant support, dedicated mentorship, and remarkable efforts in conducting the programme successfully and making it informative, engaging, and impactful.

Shri Tapas Trivedy highlighted the importance of the course for the DGR participants and extended his sincere best wishes for their prosperous and successful future. He also offered a heartfelt tribute to the personnel of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, acknowledging their unwavering commitment, devoted service, and remarkable contributions towards safeguarding the nation’s unity, security, and sovereignty.

Addressing the gathering, Lt Col & Joint Director Training (DRZ-East) M. K. Khati encouraged the participants to make the best possible use of the training provided by the experienced faculty of NIELIT Kolkata. He further motivated them to continuously upgrade their knowledge and effectively implement the skills gained during the programme in their future professional pursuits. He also shared inspiring success stories of some participants of DGR courses in the Eastern Wing, highlighting their achievements and progress.

Dr. Kalyan Baital delivered the vote of thanks and congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the training programme. In his address, Dr. Baital noted that the training mainly focused on key Artificial Intelligence applications, including Machine Learning, Exploratory Data Analysis, Python programming, image processing using NumPy, and data visualization. These areas are essential for developing innovative solutions, preparing impactful presentations, working with digital data, and enhancing communication and online engagement. A batch of 41 participants of the DGR-sponsored course for Certified Multimedia Developer was commenced on 9th March 2026 at NIELIT Kolkata’s Jadavpur University Campus and concluded on 15th May 2026. The closing ceremony was held in the presence of Shri Goutam Saha, Director In-Charge, Shri Tapas Trivedy, Scientist-E, Dr. Kalyan Baital, Scientist-D, Smt. Rashmi Mandal Vijayvergiya, Scientist-D & Course Coordinator, along with other faculty members and staff on 14th May 2026.

The ceremony commenced with an inspiring welcome address by Smt. Rashmi M. Vijayvergiya, who lauded the participants for their enthusiastic involvement, active engagement, and interactive spirit throughout the training programme. She appreciated their eagerness to learn and highlighted the diverse additional learning opportunities thoughtfully incorporated into the sessions to enrich their overall experience. She also expressed sincere gratitude to the faculty members for their unwavering dedication, meticulous guidance, and commendable efforts in delivering the training effectively and making the programme both meaningful and impactful.

Objective of the Course:
