To protect yourself from falling victim to scams, please be aware of the following:
1. TRAI Disconnection Scam:
Ignore calls claiming your phone will be disconnected by TRAI.
2. FedEx Package Scam:
Don't respond to calls asking you to press 1 or provide info about a package.
3. Aadhaar Scam:
Don't engage with police officers calling about your Aadhaar details.
4. Digital Arrest Scam:
Don't respond to threats of "digital arrest."
5. Package Drug Scam:
Ignore calls claiming drugs have been found in a package meant for you.
6. Secrecy Scam:
Inform Cyber Crime Police (1930) if someone tells you to keep the conversation secret.
7. WhatsApp/SMS Scams:
Don't respond to suspicious messages.
8. UPI Refund Scam:
Don't assist with refunding money to someone who claims to have sent it to your UPI ID by mistake.
9. Army/CRPF Buying Scam:
Don't engage with individuals claiming to be from the army or CRPF wanting to buy your items.
10. Swiggy/Zomato Address Scam:
Don't confirm your address by pressing 1 or providing info.
11. OTP Scam:
Never share your OTP with anyone over the phone.
12. Video Calls:
Avoid answering calls in video mode.

Switch off your phone and block the number.
Suspicious Links:
Don't click on blue links from unknown sources.
Verify Notices:
Offline verify notices from authorities, including the police, CBI, ED, and IT Department.
Check Government Portals:
Ensure letters are from authorized government portals.

You can report incidents to www.cybercrime.gov.in
