What is a “Bogus Invoice Scam”? 👇

A case worth ₹397 Cr was just busted by CGST Delhi where dummy firms issued invoices without any real supply to help others claim ₹60.59 Cr of fraudulent Input Tax Credit.

This is a punishable offense under Section 132 of CGST Act. Arrests have been made.

Lesson: ITC is only available when there is actual receipt of goods/services + valid tax invoice + payment to supplier.
