Last week was National Volunteer Week – to mark the occasion we’re proud to celebrate the many ways our people give back to the communities we’re part of, with colleagues recently coming together to support our charity partner, Barretstown.

On Sunday 17 May, RSM teams had a fantastic day, taking on the Barretstown Dublin Mountains Hike Challenge where they completed a 24km hike, showing incredible determination, teamwork and support throughout the day.

Barretstown provides free camps and programmes for children affected by serious illness and their families – a cause we’re proud to support.

A huge well done to everyone who took part and helped raise vital funds. We’re looking forward to continuing supporting Barretstown through initiatives like this throughout the year.

Last week, we were delighted to mark International Women’s Day with an inspiring internal event featuring Francesca Merlini, International Growth Director and member of the RSM UK Board.

After an introduction from Catriona Spaight, our Talent Development Director, Francesca took the floor to share compelling insights into her journey - from her early life in Sardinia to leading international growth across RSM.

She spoke openly about the themes that have shaped her career progression, the value of embracing opportunities, and why her work continues to be fun, rewarding and full of interesting challenges.

A huge thank you to Francesca and Catriona for creating such an energising and thought‑provoking session. We're proud to continue championing the development, visibility, and impact of women across RSM.
