Pinelopi Kassani led a panel of bankers, owners and auditors in exploring the role of sustainability in securing finance and in achieving better finance terms, in the shipping sector.

The discussion surfaced that the Greek Banks offer a variety of options, traditional and sustainability-oriented, to owners who can demonstrate a robust economic performance backed with reliable financial and non-financial data.

Both banks and the capital markets take an interest in sustainability-related information, irrespective of the developments in IMO’s Net Zero Framework.

In this environment, the role of the auditors in safeguarding the credibility of information that changes hands is as crucial as ever.

On 11 September 2026, Mr Damianos Constantinou, Founder of Moore Greece, was awarded the Medal of Outstanding Contribution of the Republic of Cyprus by the President of the Republic, Mr Nikos Christodoulides.

The honour recognises his long-standing contribution to the economy, shipping and the auditing profession as well as to education, culture and society.

For Moore Greece, this distinction carries a special meaning.

Mr Constantinou’s journey, from Cyprus to Greece, has been shaped by professional integrity, dedication and a lasting commitment to giving back. His contribution has extended well beyond his professional achievements, reflecting a deep sense of responsibility towards the communities and values he has remained connected to throughout his life.

The Medal of Outstanding Contribution is a meaningful tribute to Mr Damianos Constantinou’s enduring contribution and impact.
