Filing season is here, and for 2026, the rules of the game have shifted. The Inland Revenue Division (IRD) has moved almost everything to the GTAX platform. If you haven’t logged in yet, now is the time!
Your 5-Step Prep Checklist:
GTAX Check: Ensure you have your new 10-digit TIN and your account is active at tax.gov.gd.
Income Report: Gather your TD4 slips, rental income records, and business receipts.
Expense Audit: Total your business costs—remember, the first $36,000 of personal income is tax-exempt!
Stamp Tax: Have your gross receipts ready for the Annual Stamp Tax filing.
Digital Filing: Personal and Corporate Income Tax must now be filed exclusively via GTAX.

Warning: The late filing penalty is $100 or 10% of the tax due (whichever is higher), plus 1.5% interest for every month it remains unpaid.

Effective January 1, 2026, the Inland Revenue Division (IRD) has officially moved the following tax types exclusively to the GTAX platform:
✅ Personal Income Tax (PIT)
✅ Corporate Income Tax (CIT) Filing
✅ PAYE (Annual)
✅ Annual Stamp Tax
✅ All Business Licenses
Why this matters:
Paper filings for these categories are a thing of the past! To avoid last-minute stress or late fees, make sure you’ve registered for your new Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and familiarized yourself with the portal at tax.gov.gd.
