Thank you so much to everyone who took part in the Hadlow Edward Charity Walk 2026! What an amazing day filled with some amazing people!

Blessed with what might be the last of the good summer weather, the Hadlow Edwards team, a few of our lovely clients, and a couple of furry friends went for a country walk and finished off the afternoon in the pub for a spot of food and a game of skittles. Congratulations to Chelsea, who was the overall winner 🏆

It's events like this that allow us a moment to reconnect with other team members and also speak to clients in a more relaxed setting, something that is invaluable to us here at Hadlow Edwards, and not something we take for granted.

Definition, in relation to finance:

A household budget is the money needed to keep the house running. It is important to make sure that the income of the household is greater than the household budget - any remaining funds can be used as you wish.

Hint: Things such as rent and running costs like water, electric and wi-fi are crucial to factor into the household budget.

Hadlow Edwards Wealth Management is once again teaming up with Nightingale House Hospice for their annual photography competition – and entries officially open tomorrow, 1st September! 📷

👀 THIS YEAR’S THEME: “URBAN EXPLORATION”
They’re looking for fantastic photographs showcasing local architecture and the surrounding areas – from striking buildings and streetscapes to nature, people and animals. The central theme should celebrate the amazing places we call home. 🏘️🌿🐾

👏 Everyone is welcome to enter, whatever their age or photography experience, with the winning images featuring in the official 2027 calendar!

💙 Best of all, all profits from calendar sales will go directly to Nightingale House Hospice, helping them provide free care and support to local patients and their families.

📅 Closing date: Sunday 1st November at 11:59pm

📸 Images must be high resolution (minimum 1MB) and landscape orientation

🚨We have an announcement! 📢

That’s right we'll be collaborating with Nightingale House Hospice again this year on our annual photography competition 😍

For those who don't know, or need a refresher, every year we run a calendar competition for the public to submit their photography, with a chance to be in our official calendar for 2027!

The quality of the photography is amazing every year and we expect this year you will somehow manage to raise the bar again!

👀THIS YEAR'S THEME IS... "URBAN EXPLORATION".

By this, we mean, we'd love to see images of your local architecture and the surrounding areas - this can include shots of nature, people, animals and more, but the central theme should be the amazing places we call home.

📸 All photography stands an equal chance, so anyone of any skillset or age can take part, and will be judged by a panel of colleagues from us here at Hadlow Edwards, Nightingale House Hospice, and other local figures. The competition officially opens tomorrow on September 1st!

🪙All of the profits made from the calendar will go straight to Nightingale House Hospice, who provide free care and support for patients in our community and support for their families.

Definition, in relation to finance:

Referring to your tax relief allowances, to avoid a higher cost of inheritance tax you can gift certain sums at certain times to help relieve any tax needed to be paid by your loved ones once you’ve passed away.

For example, Parents can gift up to £5,000 towards a wedding or civil partnership, and Grandparents can gift up to £2,500.
