Another proud moment for de Mellow & Co! 🎉

A huge congratulations to our Chartered Financial Planner, Gabriel Hooton, BSc (Hons), FPFS, who has been awarded the Rising Star Award by the Insurance Institute of Southampton 🏆🌟

Gabriel joined de Mellow & Co straight from university seven years ago, and we’ve had the privilege of watching him grow throughout his career - embracing every opportunity to learn, develop and become the Financial Planner he is today.

Now a Chartered Financial Planner, Gabriel combines exceptional technical knowledge with something equally important to us: genuine care for people, humility and integrity.

This award is wonderful recognition of everything he has achieved so far - and we have no doubt there is much more still to come.

We’re finalists! 🎉

We’re incredibly proud to share that de Mellow & Co has been named a finalist for Chartered Financial Planning Firm of the Year at the PFS Awards 2026/27.

To be recognised by the Personal Finance Society in this category means a great deal to us. The award recognises firms for their professionalism and ethical culture, investment in their people and development, commitment to positive client outcomes, and contribution to the wider profession.

For us, this recognition belongs to the whole de Mellow & Co team - the people who care about what we do, how we do it and, most importantly, the people we do it for.

We’re delighted to be one of just three firms to reach the final!

The winners will be announced at the PFS Awards on 22 October.
Until then, we’ll be keeping everything crossed 🤞

Autumn has a way of bringing us back to routine.

The holidays are over, diaries are filling up again and the end of the year suddenly doesn’t feel quite so far away.

What a wonderful morning! ☕

Last Friday was a special one for us as we welcomed clients, friends and guests to the Open Day of our new office, alongside our annual charity Macmillan Coffee Morning.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who joined us and supported the day, we raised more than £2,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support💚

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, donated and helped make the morning so special!

A special thank you to Hambledon W**e Estate and Fatclay Pottery for generously donating prizes for our raffle, and to My Little Coffee Co for joining us and keeping everyone supplied with fantastic coffee throughout the morning.

It was lovely to welcome so many of you into our new space - and even better to do it while supporting such an important cause.

Thank you for being part of it, and we hope to see you all again next year!

What a brilliant day at Hambledon Hilly! 🏃‍♂️

As the long-standing principal sponsor of Hambledon Hilly, we’re delighted to be part of this fantastic community event year after year.

More than 300 runners took on the hills today, and what an incredible atmosphere from start to finish!

A beautiful setting at Hambledon W**e Estate, fantastic organisation and a real sense of community made this year’s event one to remember.

Most importantly, Hambledon Hilly once again brought everyone together for a good cause, this year raising funds for Hambledon Primary School and Brain Tumour Research.

We were also incredibly proud of our own Tom and Reuben, who both completed the 10K today.
Well done, both! 👏

A huge congratulations to the entire Hambledon Hilly team on another brilliant event.
Amazing job, everyone!
