Did you know pensions usually sit outside your will? That’s why it’s vital to name and regularly review your pension beneficiaries and tell loved ones where to find the paperwork. Most people expect that if they still have money left in their pension pots when they die, their spouse or children will inherit it. While you can pass on a pension, you cannot do so solely through your will. Instead, most people will need to tell their pension provider who to pay their pension to when they die through an expression of wish form. A pay rise is supposed to be good news. Then a salary in the house crosses £100,000, the funded childcare stops, and you are somehow worse off than you were before the rise. Nothing tapers. It just stops.

I’m incredibly excited to share that I’ll be returning to TEDxTruro in 2027 - this time in a very different role 💚

After having the absolute privilege of being a speaker at TEDxTruro this year, I’ve been invited back as a Speaker Coach, supporting and guiding one of next year’s speakers through their TEDx journey.

Speaking at TEDxTruro this year was such a huge experience for me - challenging, exciting, nerve-wracking, and ultimately incredibly rewarding. I know how much goes into taking an idea from your head, shaping it into a talk, and then standing on that stage and sharing it with the world.

I’ll be there to help the next speaker find their voice, shape their story, prepare for the stage, and hopefully make their experience every bit as positive and memorable as mine was.
