We are delighted to confirm that we have expanded our team with Lisa and Craig joining us.

Lisa is working in the new office 3 days a week and she comes with 25 years of experience working as an accounts assistant at local accountancy practices as well as 6 years spent working in Farm Accounts for a UK based agricultural management and advisory company. When Lisa is not in the office she enjoys spending time with her family, catching up with friends for a coffee or walking her dog.

Craig is a qualified Certified Accountant who also has over 25 years experience working in practice and has joined us on a consultancy basis. Craig has worked across all areas including accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, personal and company tax, VAT, payroll and tax advice. When Craig is not working he enjoys playing golf, watching football or walking his dog.

I'm sure you will all join us in giving a warm welcome to them both.

We are very happy to confirm we have now moved into new offices after the fire in our old office building.
Our new address is Kings Accountancy Ltd, Front Warehouse, Haigh Industrial Estate, Ross-on-Wye, HR9 5NG.
We are in the main glass fronted entrance of the grey building in the same car park as Wye Valley Tackle Box and Snoopy's Doggy Daycare.
We also have a large letter box to the left of the building where you can post records out of hours.
We thank everyone again for their understanding and patience during the past 4 months whilst we worked from home and look forward to welcoming you to our new offices.
We would also like to thank Jim Halfpenny for doing such a prompt, great job painting inside our offices and David's Light Haulage for moving all the furniture and records.

We have sadly had to say goodbye to Charlotte this month as she leaves Kings Accountancy to take on a new challenge outside of accountancy. We will all really miss Charlotte in the office and would like to say a big thank you for all of her help over the years. We wish her lots of luck in her new role and will definitely keep in touch as we have formed firm friendships. We will also have some exciting new announcements coming soon about a new office after the fire and new team members 🙂 Thank you again to all clients for your continued patience during this transition period.

Backdated to April 2026, HMRC have increased the approved mileage rate from 45ppm to 55ppm for cars and vans (first 10,000 miles in the tax year, still 25ppm thereafter)

From 25th June to 1st September 2026 there is a temporary reduced rate of VAT of 5% that applies to children's meals and drinks (eat in only, not takeaways) and admission to certain attractions, theatres, cinemas, concerts and shows. VAT registered businesses such as restaurants, cafes and attraction venues will therefore need to ensure they are correctly accounting for these sales separately to apply the reduced rate and accurately report the VAT on their VAT returns.

The owner of a commercial building that caught fire in Ross-on-Wye on Friday has said people in the town have "really come together" in support of those affected.
