✔ Prepare your submissions ahead of the deadline

Don't leave it until the last minute — getting organised now can make the process much smoother.

Are you a director and a person with significant control (PSC) of your company?

You need to verify your identity and provide your Companies House personal code for both of these roles separately – once as a director and once as a PSC.

Your identity verification requirements will not be complete until you’ve provided your code for each role you hold.

Check your verification due dates on the Companies House register.

25/02/2026

If you've received a default letter about identity verification, check the deadline on the letter and file within this timeframe, if you can.

Representations are for exceptional circumstances only, and you’ll need to give evidence.

For more information on how to complete identity verification and provide your personal code, head to our guidance pages 👇 (link in comments)
