โParkerโs proud to partake in St Davidโs Hospice Dalmation Rideโฆโฆ
So itโs that time of year again the second Saturday in June and St Davidโs Dalmation Ride. Gareth rode the 101 k route and completed a PB ( personal best )for 100 k on route which shows heโs in good shape for the longer endurance events he has planned later in the season .
Gary , James and Liz cycled the 59k, the trio worked hard together and James came out with a PB for a 50k , not bad as theyโve only been in the saddle once in the last year !
A great event, the weather was bright and dry, ok youโll never escape the head wind on the return route but thatโs what makes it challenging . The welcome was uplifting and warm as usual back at the Priory, with plenty of time to recharge and chill out with friends and family.
From its beginning in 2011 the Dalmation event has raised over ยฃ 350,000 , a momentous sum. That amount would provide roughly 700 days of residential patient care at the hospice, an incredible contribution. โ
