What started with two young children, a kitchen and a business idea became something neither of them could have predicted.

In 2009, Brian and Leanne Crowther started making cakes from home.

Fast forward 18 years and Flower & White had become a multi-million-pound manufacturing business.

But the journey in between was anything but straightforward.

There were pivots.
There were challenges.
There was COVID.
And there were plenty of moments when they had to figure things out as they went.

☕️ Keele Breakfast Club is back!

After a little summer break, it was great to welcome everyone back to our Keele Breakfast Club this week. It was brilliant to catch up with familiar faces, meet some new ones and hear what everyone has been up to.

A big thank you to Dave from Win Financial, who joined us as our guest speaker and shared more about what they do and the work they’re doing to support their clients.

There’s nothing quite like good conversations, great connections and, of course, a delicious breakfast to start the day! 🙌

Today we’re celebrating an incredible 10 years at Sempar for Lisa! 🎉

Lisa is one of those people who is always there when you need her, whether that’s reviewing work, offering support or simply bringing her calm, friendly and reassuring nature to the team.

Her experience, kindness and willingness to help make such a difference, and she’s a valued part of what makes what it is.

Sarah has been with us for two months and is already getting stuck in, learning the ropes and supporting the team wherever she can.

Sarah is still learning the role, so no two days are quite the same! Alongside her training, she’s busy providing the team with any support they need.

What does Sarah get up to outside of work?
When she’s not at Sempar, Sarah enjoys walking, yoga and spending time with family and friends, usually around some delicious food! 😋

Yesterday marked our 2026 Team Awards and what a wonderful afternoon we had. 🥂

It was brilliant to get the whole team together, look back at what we’ve achieved over the last year, and celebrate what makes Sempar, Sempar: our people.

From moving into our new home at Keele and turning 10, to continuing our AI journey and building an even stronger team, it’s been quite a year. And there’s plenty to look forward to as we head into 2027!

But yesterday was really about celebrating the people behind it all.

What makes our awards extra special is that they are nominated by the team, recognising the people who make a difference to those around them every day.

Say hello to the next star in our Meet the Team series! 🎬

At Sempar, our people are at the heart of everything we do, and our Meet the Team series gives you a little insight into the people behind the numbers.

Today, we’re introducing Cory, one of our Semi-Senior Accountants! 👋

Cory plays an important role in supporting our clients with their day-to-day accounting needs, helping to keep things running smoothly and making sure our clients have accurate, reliable financial information to work from.

As well as looking after his own client work, Cory is also a great support to our junior team members. He helps them with their day-to-day queries, shares his knowledge and experience, and is always happy to lend a hand when they need some guidance.

Outside of work, Cory is a family man and loves spending time with his family, who certainly keep him busy! When he’s not with them, you’ll often find Cory supporting Liverpool FC and watching football. He also enjoys travelling and sightseeing, making the most of opportunities to explore new places.

We’re lucky to have Cory as part of Team Sempar. ❤️
