Ireland’s new auto-enrolment pension scheme, MyFutureFund, officially launched on 1 January 2026.

Eligible employees will now be automatically enrolled into a pension scheme, with contributions coming from:

✔ Employers
✔ The Irish Government

This is a major step forward for workplace pensions, but also an important payroll and compliance update for businesses across Ireland.
