Anyone can say "we're proactive" or "we really care about your business." Every accountant's website says that. It means nothing until you've actually tested it.
Here's what we believe trust actually looks like:
It's the email that gets answered before you've had to chase it.
It's being told the truth about a decision, even when it's not what you wanted to hear.
It's your accountant flagging something before it becomes a problem, not explaining it away after the fact.
It's not being made to feel small for asking a question you think you "should" already know the answer to.
Too many business owners have been burned by an accountant who made them feel invisible, a number on a list, dealt with once a year, forgotten the rest of the time.
If that's been your experience, it's not you. It's the relationship.
Trust isn't a tagline. It's built meeting by meeting, response by response, decision by decision. That's the only way we know how to do it.
If you're not sure you can trust the person doing your books, that's something worth paying attention to.

Your accountant meeting shouldn't feel like a report card.
We've all been there: you sit down for the monthly meeting with your accountant, where someone talks at you about your numbers.
We don't work like that.
Every month, we sit down and start with you.
Not the spreadsheet.
What's changed in your business this month? What have you tried? What's worked, what hasn't, and what's felt harder than it should?
We then tie it back to the numbers. Why? Because decisions you made six weeks ago might already be showing up in your figures, or it might take a month or two to show up. Either way, you should know WHY your numbers look the way they do, not just what they are.
That's the difference between an accountant who files your accounts and one who actually understands your business.
If your monthly meeting feels like a lecture instead of a conversation, it might be time for a change!
