I have just released the final video in the three-part series on indemnifications. In this video I examine the nine key points made by Mark Faulkner, in the Conclusions of "Something Better Change - Securities Lending Indemnification is Unsustainable in Its Current Form".
Mark is Co-Founder of Credit Benchmark and has been a thought leader and distruptor for many years in
I also add my own thoughts as to where I see the likely future direction of indemnities, but I agree with Mark that something has to change.

Today I have posted the second video in a three-part series on securities lending indemnifications.
The inspiration for the series was the recent paper released by Mark Faulkner of Credit Benchmark entitled "Something Better Change - Securities Lending Indemnificationis Unsustainable in Its Current Form"
In the second video I describe the economics of the business, identify why the cost of indemnifications is an important issue, provide examples of firms that did go bust or needed rescuing and give illustrative examples of loss scenarios and where an indemnification would and wouldn't be needed.
