If you're a self-assessment taxpayer, the second payment on account deadline is 31 July - just 10 days away.
This is an advance payment towards your 2025/26 tax bill. Miss it, and HMRC will charge interest from the day after the deadline.
Not sure what you owe or whether you can reduce your payment? Get in touch with the team today.

Are you a director of a company?
Your confirmation statement is due every 12 months, even if nothing has changed.
Miss it, and Companies House can strike your company off the register.
If you're not sure when yours is due, check your Companies House filing history or ask our team at BBK to manage it for you.

If your VAT quarter ended 31 May, your return and payment are due 7 July.
Late filing means penalties. Late payment means interest. Neither is worth it.

Yesterday, some of our team took part in the London to Brighton bike ride in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
It wasn't without its challenges. Seleena's bike broke mid-ride. Jayye's bike was hit, forcing her to stop and restart, but she dug in and completed the full route. Kavitharan flew home well ahead of the pack.
A huge thank you to Salman and Theva (one of our brilliant clients!) for keeping everyone fuelled and on track throughout the day. 💙

The P11D deadline is 6 July.
If your business provides benefits or expenses to employees or directors, such as company cars, private medical insurance, gym memberships, or interest-free loans, these need to be reported to HMRC.
Late or incorrect submissions can result in penalties and unnecessary HMRC attention, so don't leave it to the last minute.
Unsure if you need to submit a P11D? The team would be happy to help.

From 6 April 2026, businesses are legally required to keep detailed records of employee annual leave and holiday pay for a minimum of six years.
It wasn't on the government's published timetable, which means many payroll and finance teams haven't planned for it.
Records must cover:
→ Ordinary and additional annual leave
→ Leave carried forward from previous years
→ Holiday pay, including which elements are included or excluded
→ Payments in lieu of annual leave
Non-compliance is a criminal offence and fines can reach up to £20,000 per employee.
If your payroll process hasn't been reviewed since April, now is the time.
