You've spent years building your business.
Do you have a plan to leave it?

48% of UK business owners admit they have no exit strategy.
37% have no succession plan.

And yet, 71% believe they can exit tax-efficiently - without having done the groundwork to make it happen.

The gap between those two things? That's where value gets lost.

Experts are clear: you should start planning your exit three to five years before you intend to sell.

At Nordens Wealth, we help you bridge the gap between building a business and securing your future.

Here's a practical 10-day framework for choosing the right audit firm - what to ask, what red flags to watch for, and why the partner relationship matters more than the logo.

The rules changed in April 2025. Turnover under £15m, balance sheet under £7.5m, or 50 or fewer employees - you may now be exempt from a statutory audit.

Around 13,000 more UK businesses qualify for exemption than before. But there are traps: group structures, regulated sectors, and first-year trading can still mean you need one, even if your numbers say otherwise.

Recruitment business owners 👋 if your business feels busy, it might actually be at risk.

Deals, billings and pipeline can look great on the surface.

But margin, cash and control are what really hold the business together.

New Homes Carpeting were losing days every month to reporting that should've taken hours.

Sound familiar?

We moved them from Sage to Xero, brought in Dext, automated their payments, and built reports actually built around how their business runs - not a generic template.

R&D tax relief isn't just for tech companies.

If you're improving a process, testing a new approach, or building something better than what you started with - that might already count.
