We’re live today at the CIMA President’s Conference 🎉 Despite the rain and tube strikes, our fantastic attendees showed up!
We kicked off with an introductory talk from Paul Turner, followed by John Graham, who explored the uncertainty of the future — balanced by the enduring certainty of the accounting profession.

We then heard from Professor Tera Allas CBE, Mathew Hansard and Bradley Channer on labour productivity, technology and business transformation.

There was also plenty of opportunity to network and build relationships between sessions.

The energy and engagement have been fantastic, reflecting the future of CGMA and its role in developing the next generation of talent ✨

What if the skills that set you apart in finance aren’t built in lectures?

In our latest FM podcast, Claire DuRose and Vince Mayne explore how team sport, specifically touch rugby, is helping students build the real skills employers look for:

→ thinking under pressure
→ communicating in fast-moving situations
→ resilience when things don’t go to plan
→ trust, teamwork, and leadership

Through CIMA’s partnership with England Touch, students are acquiring more than just a game. They’re developing confidence, adaptability and the “super skills” that make a difference in interviews and in the workplace.

Sometimes, the edge you need in your career is built off the pitch.
