Speak to most business owners about their accountant, and most will tell you the same story:

“Oh, my accountant’s fantastic – he/she sorts out everything I need”

It’s a nice thought. Trouble is, most of the time it’s not true.

You see, in most businesses, there’s a very big gap between what the business owner thinks their accountant does for them, and what they actually do.
