Mileage allowance has increased to 55p backdated from 6 April 2026.

Special 5% VAT rate introduced for 'children's meals' at restaurants, cafes and hotels over the summer. From 25 June to 1 September 2026 businesses will be able to apply lower rate of VAT for meals held out for sale only as a meal for children.
