On Saturday 28th June a group of LF staff, complete with family and friends, undertook 13.1 miles around London in a bid to raise money for our charity of the year, Beatson Cancer Charity. 💛
The team walked 30,000 steps in 4.5 hours, starting and finishing at our St Paul's office. Despite the hot weather, spirits were up and a great time was had by all.
If you'd like to sponsor our walk in support for Beatson, please do so here - https://www.justgiving.com/page/lubbockfinebeatsoncancercharity?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL.
We appreciate any support you can give!

Our tax partner David Portman was recently featured in IFA Magazine, eprivateclient and Business Money, sharing his views on the worrying decline in investment into small UK businesses and urging the government to do more to support its “growth agenda.”
David’s comments followed newly released data showing:
- Investor’s Relief claims dropped 18% last year – down to £242m from £294m
- Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) investment also fell by 20% – from £1.97bn to £1.58bn
Our research supports this trend, highlighting how tax breaks designed to encourage funding for small, unlisted UK companies are no longer delivering the same impact.

With interest rates at their highest in years, client money held by solicitors is now generating more income than it used to. While that might seem like a positive, it can actually have a knock-on effect on how much VAT the firm is allowed to reclaim.
Sharon Parker, VAT director, explores this growing issue in more detail and explains why law firms should review their position sooner rather than later.
