Barrons looks pretty good at Lord’s

Gary and Russell recently had the pleasure of spending the day at Lord’s, joined by some of our clients for the Lashings event in the iconic Long Room.

It was great to spend some time with our clients outside the usual day-to-day, and Lord’s certainly wasn’t a bad place to do it!

And the day got even better for one of our clients, who only went and won a trip to the Caribbean! Not a bad way to finish the day…

A fantastic day all round. Thank you to everyone who joined us and the event organisers!

Got an hour to spare this Saturday? Nicola might just have the perfect way to spend it.

Nicola is helping with a 12-hour darts fundraiser in Wickford, raising money to support prostate cancer awareness and research, a cause particularly close to her heart following the experiences of her father-in-law, as well as other family and friends.

The event will run from 11am–11pm, with people encouraged to pop in, throw a few darts and make a donation. You don’t need to be a darts professional either!

Another day, another reason to celebrate the Barrons team!

This time, we have two very good reasons.

We’re celebrating Lisa’s incredible 10-year anniversary with Barrons and Nathan’s 5-year anniversary!

We’re incredibly proud of the team we’ve built at Barrons, and seeing our people grow, develop and reach milestones like these is something we’ll always make time for.

A lot can change in 10 years (and even five!), so having people choose to grow their careers alongside Barrons means a great deal to us.

Big changes are coming for employers. 🔔

From Employment Tribunal time limits to unfair dismissal rights, there are some important changes coming that employers need to have on their radar.

A little change of plan for our skydiving trio…

Unfortunately, due to the weather conditions, Gary, Jane and Andy’s skydive has had to be postponed. While we’re disappointed that they won’t be taking to the skies just yet, their safety has to come first!

We’re hoping to have a new date in the diary soon and, fingers crossed, they’ll still be able to take the leap before the end of the year. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more.

On a much more positive note, thanks to your incredible support, we’ve surpassed our fundraising goal! We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared and supported Gary, Jane and Andy along the way. 💙

The jump may be delayed, but it’s definitely not forgotten… Gary, Jane and Andy, you’re not getting out of it that easily! 👀

A big thank you to Business on Sea for putting on Southend Business Show, and to everyone who stopped by the Barrons stand to say hello to Steven, Haris and David throughout the day.

Our raffle certainly seemed to go down well too! Thank you to everyone who got involved, and a special mention to Cheris Price from Sector Bridge, who we think did a pretty good job of modelling one of our Barrons tote bags! 😂

It was great to catch up with so many familiar faces and meet plenty of new ones too.
