We had great fun at our awards way back in December where everyone got an award wit a big dose of banter and everyone was a great sport!

3 members though got serious awards with Bella Streames picking up best theme due to her depressing Royal Albert Hall references aligning to critical illness etc and Aanu Clement David-Olawade our book writer and LinkedIn specialist received the award for best newcomer (now it feels like she’s an absolute part of the furniture!) and then Lewis Hickey, our graphic designer, won top table’s choice award for his support in BNI.

Worthy winners who finally got their physical awards 🤣🤣 ……we’ve been too busy growing each others businesses so patience was a virtue in this case but WELL DONE EVERYONE

We recently heard from Harry Hartin who’s an IFA.

He’s the pension person for trades. He believes that trades need advice because they don’t typically get this in their line of work.

He explained to over 30 businesses in the room that he loves helping sole traders plan for the future as tax efficiently as possible and how he’s an expert at finding old pensions.

Really great presentation with a difference to what we normally hear from IFAs.

This wonderful lady Jay Webb is a pint-sized giant in the world of HR. Protecting businesses from losing profits or even worse. She deals with the biggest types of HR work such as Tupe transfers and the nastiest types too such as contentious tribunals, she does it all as an absolute expert!

Well Marian didn’t want it to go unnoticed that she had reached the green points (finally I say!) and how it made her day that I had also missed top marks of 100 by 1 point.

She decided to point shame me with a beautifully wrapped gift of a 99 ice cream !!! 😂 Passing £1.3 million of business with more than £250k just last month - serious buisness with a large helping of banter …..

She even brought our Jay Webb a beret to wear for reaching the green with her. Her little good luck leprechaun I say 😂

Monday this week…..some of us ladies met at the Rock before meeting up for the bigger meeting.

We looked back on the previous 3 month goals we’d set and things we wanted to improve and we had nailed the whole lot, every target achieved!

What a team and what a way to drive business. Just under £1.3 million in 12 months and growing all the time.

Funds raised at our recent Gala were handed over to our brilliant charity, Warning Zone 👏

There was a strong mindset theme running through the morning, with presentations from Simon at Breaking The Cycle and Steve Tempest. Positive attitude goes a long way, pause at the door, take a breath, reset, whatever the day brings. And don’t let limits hold you back… aim higher 🚀

Richard from JD Wills and Estates delivered the 10-minute presentation, sharing his relaxed, friendly approach to what can often be sensitive conversations, meeting clients in their own homes, where they feel most comfortable.

And to top it off… The power team Flashy & Classy won the year-long Boat Race challenge, rowing miles ahead to claim their team night out 🏆

Bingo & Karaoke Night at Warning Zone

A special Bingo & Karaoke Night on Thursday 23rd April at Warning Zone, and we’d love our BNI community to get behind it.

This evening is dedicated to our much‑loved colleague Anne Collins, who sadly passed away last September. Anne absolutely loved Bingo and Karaoke, so this night is all about celebrating her energy, her laughter, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
