🤨 What should you actually expect from your accountant?

As an accountant, I often hear stories from business owners who only speak to their accountant once a year - usually when it's time to submit their accounts or tax return.

In my opinion, you should expect much more than that. A good accountant should:

✔ Be easy to contact when you need advice,
✔ Help you understand your numbers, not just report them,
✔ Keep you compliant and aware of important deadlines,
✔ Identify opportunities to save tax where appropriate,
✔ Support your business as it grows,
✔ Give you confidence that your finances are in good order.

Your accountant shouldn't just be someone who files paperwork. They should be a trusted partner who helps you make informed business decisions throughout the year.

In this short video, I share what I believe every business owner should expect from their accountant and some of the warning signs that you may not be getting the service you deserve.
