Most people know that I’m a massive Harley-Davidson fanboy… but, just like any financial plan, there are multiple layers to it.
From the outside, everything might look shiny and straightforward. Underneath, however, there are dozens of different parts that all need to work together—and ignoring just one of them can eventually result in a very expensive noise.
Financial planning is much the same.
Pensions, investments, tax planning, protection and cash flow might not look particularly exciting individually—well, unless you’re me—but when properly coordinated, they create something built specifically for you.
Neither a Harley nor a financial plan should be bought, parked up and forgotten about. Both need regular servicing, occasional adjustments and someone who knows what they’re looking at.
The main difference?
My financial plan is supposed to stop me spending all my money upgrading the Harley 🏍️😂
