VACANCY: ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT, ACCOUNTS SENIOR OR CLIENT MANAGER:
Jones Cooper Limited Financial Accountants in Goole are a forward-thinking progressive firm of Accountants, specialising in the Small Business Sector.

A fantastic opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant, Accounts Senior or Client Manager to join our friendly team, in either a part time or full time position.

This is a varied role dependent on existing experience, with scope for future development and exams if desired. It would suit somebody either already qualified or currently studying towards their qualifications (either AAT or ACCA), or qualified by experience.
Experience of working in a practice environment is essential for the role, as our ideal candidate will already have at least a year of accounts preparation experience.

The final position will depend on the candidate’s previous experience, how much they wish to progress, and the hours worked, but as a minimum the role will include:
• Preparation of Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and small Limited Companies
• Preparation of Personal, Partnership and Company Tax Returns
• Able to complete client’s Book Keeping and VAT Returns, using cloud software
• Assisting the Management team with other ad-hoc tasks and duties

The role can include already, or develop into:
• Client contact and meetings
• Managing a portfolio of clients
• Review of Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and small Limited Companies
• Review of Personal, Partnership and Company Tax Returns
Skills required:
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of accounting software
• Sound general knowledge of all Taxes affecting individuals and businesses, and VAT (desirable)
• Ability to work to time budgets and deadlines.
• Ability to adapt and multitask as and when needed.
• Works with accuracy and attention to detail.

Hours: Full or Part time Hours available to suit the right candidate.
Location: Office based in Goole.

Salary: Excellent competitive package available, based on level of experience.

Rickey Cooper – Rest In Peace

We are deeply saddened to share the news that Rickey passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday.

We are all stunned and so incredibly sad for Diane, Charlotte, Liam, and all of his family.

Rickey had only recently decided to retire, and had just started to enjoy some time away from Jones Cooper. We are so very sorry that he didn’t get longer to enjoy the retirement that he so greatly earned.

Rickey touched the lives of many people, and was extremely proud of Jones Cooper.

He helped so many people, and started many of our careers in accountancy.

We are honoured to have known Rickey and worked for him for so many years, and as we continue with the Company he founded, he will forever be in our thoughts and we will remember him always.

Rest In Peace Rickey, we are devastated you have been taken this way.
