📢 Updates coming to PAYE Online for Employers

HMRC is introducing improvements to make PAYE information clearer and easier to manage ✅

🔍 What’s changing?

👉 New Credit Allocation Page

Introduced April 2026, this update will not only show where credits have been allocated but also where they originated from, giving employers greater visibility and transparency.

👉 Clearer End of Year Adjustments

A new feature (launching soon) will provide a detailed breakdown of end-of-tax-year adjustments, including individual charges and interest, rather than just a combined total.

💡 These changes aim to simplify understanding of PAYE accounts, especially for employers dealing with multiple adjustments.

📢 Important update for employers: Benefits-in-kind changes ahead

There’s now less than a year to prepare for a major shift in how benefits-in-kind are taxed.
From 6 April 2027, employers will be required to report and pay Income Tax and NICs on most benefits via payroll, replacing the current P11D reporting process.

What are benefits-in-kind?

Non-cash perks like:
▪️ Company cars 🚗
▪️Private medical insurance 🏥
▪️Gym memberships 💪

Currently, employers can take up to 15 months after the tax year to report these. Soon, this will move to real-time payroll reporting.

⚠️ With over 3.5 million employees receiving taxable benefits, the impact will be widespread affecting employers, employees and payroll systems alike.

✅ Now is the time to review your processes, systems, and compliance readiness.
