Meet Helen!

📍 Originally from Warrington, now calling Kirk Sandall home
💼 Role: Administration & Accounts Assistant
📅 Time at DTS: Started this week!

Although she’s new to the team, Helen is already settling in nicely and bringing plenty of experience, positivity and organisation with her. If you ask her friends to describe her, they’ll say she’s: loyal, trustworthy and supportive.

When it comes to takeaway night, Helen keeps it simple with a pizza (a popular choice in the DTS office).

Her dream adventure? An epic American West Coast road trip. Sunshine, open roads, incredible scenery and not a spreadsheet in sight! She prefers summer all the way and is definitely a morning person with a coffee to start the day and she will choose savoury over sweet and cosy nights in over nights out any day!

If Helen wasn’t working in administration and accounts, she’d happily spend her time travelling and exploring new places around the world.

And while we don’t know her hidden talent or dream superpower just yet, we’re sure we’ll discover them soon enough!

Meet Alison!

💼 Role: Account Assistant
📅 Time at DTS: 5 years

If you ask Alison’s friends to describe her, you’ll get three words; loyal, caring and nuts (her words, not ours… although we’re not arguing!)

When she’s not helping keep our clients’ accounts in order, you’ll probably find her enjoying a chicken biriani, planning a Caribbean cruise, or rewatching Coyote Ugly for the hundredth time.

She prefers summer over winter, coffee over tea, sweet over savoury and is a morning person (the rest of us are still looking for the snooze button). If Alison could have any superpower, she’d choose invisibility… which would probably make hiding from deadlines a lot easier🫢 And if she wasn’t working in accounts? She’d be a Paramedic! Proving that helping people is just in her nature.

Suspects are usually spotted flying in a van in between jobs looking rushed off their feet in a sign written van with ladders strapped to the roof and enough plaster dust, paint splashes or mystery substances on the work trousers to start a forensic investigation.

The back of the van will almost certainly be dusty despite the massive company logo on the side and there’s a high chance one of the lads has written “HONK IF YOU’RE…” (you get the rest) on the dirt across the back doors.

Inside the vehicle you may find:
-McDonald’s breakfast cups rolling round the footwell
-A Tesco meal deal bag containing a BLT or breakfast sandwich, beef McCoys and either a Red Bull or Monster Energy
-Hands free phone calls saying “yeah mate I’ll be there in ten” despite being 45 minutes away
-A window half down attempting to provide air conditioning

And most importantly…

A glove box absolutely RAMMED with receipts folded in half, then folded again, then folded again for good measure, covered in crumbs and stuffed behind old parking tickets from 2022.

If approached safely, please ask them to pull over immediately, recover all receipts and supplier invoices from the van and deliver them directly to Doncaster Tax Solutions. Don’t leave it until super last minute. Be more organised. Be mindful. Be more like us!

If you’re unsure, don’t click any links and contact us and we can help you figure if this is legitimate. This time of year scammers think they are the bees knees because we have started a new tax year. Well nothing gets by us 💪🏼
