Life in the accounting world:
Started accountancy by studying at University and achieving a first class honours degree.
Following this, became a junior accountant in Swansea back in 2014. Then climbed the ranks, from client manager to operations manager to practice manager, and finally to a director. A decision was then made to start a company, creating OLP accountants in January 2024!

Life outside of the accounting world:
Favourite things to do are – family days out, going to the gym, running, watching a good series on tv & outings with friends!

You CAN claim:
✨ Train, bus & public transport for qualifying business journeys
✨ Business mileage
✨ Accommodation for genuine business travel
✨ Reasonable meals & subsistence while travelling for business
✨ Overseas travel where the journey is genuinely for business
✨ Parking, tolls & other necessary business travel costs

You CAN’T claim:
❌ Your normal everyday commute
❌ Personal meals, drinks or entertainment
❌ The personal element of a business + leisure trip
❌ Costs for family or friends travelling with you
❌ Personal shopping or other private expenses
