Today we celebrated Jenna with a baby shower full of smiles, laughter, and well wishes before she begins her maternity leave. While we’ll certainly miss having you around the office, we’re so excited for you as you prepare to welcome your little boy into the world.

Wishing you all the best for a safe arrival, precious memories, and every joy that comes with this incredible new chapter. Enjoy every moment—we can’t wait to meet your little one and look forward to welcoming you back in January 2027.

Update for EV Drivers! ⚡️🚗

From 1 September 2025, HMRC is updating the mileage rates for electric vehicles:
8p per mile if you charge at home
14p per mile if you use a public charger
This replaces the old flat 7p rate.

And here’s the good bit: if your real charging costs are higher (like when using an expensive ultra-rapid charger), you can claim more as long as you’ve got the evidence.

However, If you’re using a public charger, it’s often easier to just put the whole charging cost on your company payment card and record it as business travel. That way, you don’t need to mess around with mileage calculations at all and there is no benefit in kind for electricity for company cars, unlike other types of fuel.
