Can you believe it's been almost a whole month since our Women in Business event!

What a night 💙

A room full of smiles, laughs, a few tears and, most importantly, women just absolutely empowering one another!!

One of the things we heard a lot throughout the night was:

“Please do another one!”

So… the girls at Abbeygate have had their thinking caps on. 👀

Luckily, that’s one you’ll never get from us!

🚀 At Abbeygate, that initial onboarding 3 month review and the 9 month reviews are part of every client’s journey with us, and it’s something we probably don’t shout about enough on here.

We don’t wait until your year has ended to tell you how things went or hand you a bill.

These reviews give us the chance to step back, look at what’s happening in the business and, importantly, do something about it while there’s still time.

NOT when the year is over and there’s nothing left to change.

We're always looking for ways to add more value for our clients, and one of the biggest is making sure you're using Xero properly.

Set up and used well, Xero saves you hours every month, gives you numbers you can trust, and lets us spot problems and opportunities early instead of after year end. It's also the foundation for the AI tools we now use to flag things like cashflow dips and VAT issues as they happen. More on that soon.

That's why our 1-2-1 Xero training is still free. Existing clients, new clients, and for as long as it takes you to feel confident with it. Bank feeds, invoices, reconciling, VAT, reports, whatever you're stuck on, we'll sit down with you and go through it.

What a night! 🥂🪩

Last Friday evening, we attended the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, where we were absolutely thrilled to be Highly Commended for Small Business of the Year!🎷

To be recognised alongside so many brilliant local businesses is something we really are so proud of!

A huge thank you to the organisers for a fantastic evening, and of course, to our amazing team and clients who make Abbeygate what it is today.

We spend a lot of time developing our team. Last week, it was the leadership team’s turn to work on ourselves and 'on the business'. 🚀🍰

A huge thank you to East for hosting our Leadership Team Training Day last week! 🤝

We spent the day working with Steel from EOS Worldwide, looking at how we can strengthen the way we work as a leadership team and continue moving the business forward.

A really valuable day that left us with a clear plan and plenty more to take back into the business.

We’re already looking forward to getting together again for our next session in November. 🕺
