What a brilliant day the Ovation team had this week at Purposefest at Bristol Beacon. šæ
It was fantastic to spend the day surrounded by people and organisations who are passionate about using business as a force for good.
We had some really thoughtful conversations at our stand about financial wellbeing, sustainable investing and aligning money with meaning. It was inspiring to hear how many people are thinking about the role their finances can play in creating positive impact in their lives and in the wider world.
We also loved sharing a bit more about our B Corp journey. Becoming a Certified B Corporation in 2024 was a huge milestone for us and it was great to connect with others who are on similar paths.
A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us and a special thank you to Andy Hawkins for bringing such a thoughtful and inspiring event together.
We came away feeling energised, hopeful and very grateful to be part of a growing community of purpose led businesses. š

"How the chancellor just took a chunk out of your future payā ā The BBC
Yet another emotive headline designed to grab attention.
Tax thresholds have frozen again, and for many, frustration follows quickly behind. Especially when coupled with headlines like this.
But while the headlines focus on whatās being taken, we help clients focus on what can be built. When your financial plan already builds in buffers, you can move forward with confidence rather than alarm.
At Ovation, we donāt react to headlines, we help you understand what they truly mean for your story, your goals, your version of a good life.
If youāre unsure how this shift fits into your plan, weāre here to help you find clarity.

Weāre hard on ourselves when it comes to money.
š§ āI shouldāve saved more.ā
š āI always get it wrong.ā
𤫠āIām too embarrassed to ask for help.ā
But hereās the truth: managing money isnāt just practical ā itās emotional.
We recently spoke with certified money coach Dennis Harhalakis about why kindness is a powerful (and often overlooked) part of financial wellbeing.
His take?
āMoney is most powerful when itās used to strengthen relationships ā not just increase wealth.ā
That includes the relationship you have with yourself.

āBudget tax hikes: Income from property, dividends and savings take a hitā ā MoneyWeek
Another strong headline. Another reason for people to feel unsettled.
But hereās the truth: these changes will affect some, not all. And rarely in the dramatic ways the headlines suggest.
Your financial wellbeing isnāt determined by a single announcement. Itās shaped by your goals, your choices, and the thoughtful planning that sits beneath them.
At Ovation, our coaching-led approach helps clients look beyond the noise of short-term taxation and towards the long-term life they want to build.
If the news leaves you wondering how it all fits into your bigger picture, weāre here; ready to listen and help you think it through.

Hereās a radical thought: what if someone elseās financial success didnāt take anything away from yours?
Thereās a word for this ā "compersion".
It means finding joy in someone elseās success.
That mindset shift changes everything.
From scarcity to sufficiency.
From comparison to connection.
From āIām behindā to āIām on my own path.ā
And thatās what real financial wellbeing feels like.

Thereās a difference between being financially well off and being financially well.
Weāve met people with seven figures in the bank who feel anxious, and people with modest means who feel calm and clear.
Why?
Because financial wellbeing is about:
š§ Confidence
š¬ Clarity
ā¤ļø Feeling aligned with your values
We donāt chase wealth for the sake of it.
We build financial plans that serve your whole life ā not just your net worth.

Most people come to us wanting āenough.ā
But hereās the kicker: enough looks different for everyone.
For one person, itās being mortgage-free.
For another, itās time with grandchildren.
For someone else, itās never needing to check the bill.
At Ovation, we start by asking what matters to you.
Only then can we build a plan around your real goals ā not someone elseās checklist.
So tell us ā what does āenoughā look like for you?
