We know what it takes to build a business, because we’ve been there too.
ViFi started on day one from a bedroom office.
Since then, we’ve grown into a £1m+ business with a team of 20 - and we know first-hand the hard work, big decisions and growing pains that come with that journey.
And that’s exactly why we built ViFi.
To give business owners the financial support, clarity and expertise they need as they grow, without having to build an entire finance function in-house.
Because when you’re focused on building a business, you need a finance team that understands where you’re going - and can grow with you.
Watch our video of Ben sharing a little more about the ViFi journey.

Back from the summer break? Here are 5 financial checks worth making this September 👇
For many business owners, September feels like a bit of a reset.
The school holidays are over, routines are returning and there are a few solid months left to make an impact before the end of the year.
So, before things ramp up again, it’s a good time to take stock of your finances:
📊 Check your budget against actuals
Are revenue and costs where you expected them to be at this point in the year?
💷 Review your cash flow forecast
Look ahead to the next few months and make sure upcoming costs, tax payments and seasonal changes are accounted for.
📈 Update your year-end forecast
Based on your performance so far, where is the business heading?
🔍 Review your costs
Subscriptions, suppliers and overheads can easily creep up. September is a good time to check what you’re spending and where savings could be made.
🎯Set your priorities for the rest of the year
What do you want to achieve before year-end, and do the numbers support those plans?
A quick financial reset now can give you a much clearer picture of where you stand - and what needs your attention next.

Founder Finance Confession #01 👀
“I feel overwhelmed by the finances. I don’t have a clear view of where we are, and I feel disorganised. I know we’re making money, but I’m never completely sure what we can afford to spend, where we should invest or what the next move should be.”
For a lot of business owners, the challenge isn’t that the business isn’t doing well. It’s that as the business grows, the finances become harder to keep on top of.
You might have money coming in and a healthy pipeline, but still find yourself wondering:
➡️ How much cash do we have available?
➡️ What have we got coming up over the next few months?
➡️ Can we afford to make that hire or investment?
➡️ Are we spending too much in the wrong areas?
➡️ Are we actually on track?
That lack of visibility can make every decision feel harder than it needs to.
Good financial management isn’t just about knowing whether you’re profitable. It’s about having a clear picture of where you are now, what’s coming next and what you can confidently do with your money.
Clarity makes it much easier to know how to move forward.

As your business grows, your finance processes need to grow with it 📈
What worked when you were smaller may not work as your team, customers, suppliers and financial commitments increase.
The good news? Improving your financial processes doesn’t always mean hiring a full in-house finance team.
Often, the first step is creating:
➡️Clearer systems
➡️Better ownership
➡️More consistent reporting
➡️Stronger invoicing and credit control
➡️A reliable cash flow forecast
And as things become more complex, specialist finance support can help provide the structure and visibility your business needs - without the cost of building a full in-house team.
Swipe through for 6 practical ways to improve your financial processes as your business grows 👉

The best financial advice starts with understanding the business behind the numbers 🍟
Throwback to when Ryan Saward, Ben Steele and Ryan Steele swapped the office for the FryHaus food truck, to experience a busy day serving customers at Weston Pride 🏳️🌈
From managing constant queues and keeping service moving, to balancing stock, labour and customer experience, it was a reminder of just how much goes into running a busy hospitality business.
It's one of the reasons we love working with cafés, restaurants, bars and food businesses. We understand that behind every set of accounts is a fast-paced operation where every decision impacts profitability.
A huge thank you to everyone working long hours across festivals, events and hospitality this summer. We'll leave the food service to the experts and keep helping with the numbers behind the scenes 🍔📈

Looking back at 🤩
Last month, Ben, Paul, Harry, Sam and Rob headed to London to represent ViFi at Xerocon, joining thousands of accountants and finance professionals to explore the future of our industry.
One of the standout moments was when Ben & Sam took to the stage to discuss business acquisitions and how Xero is helping firms integrate new businesses more smoothly, while giving teams at every level ownership of the process.
Ben also had the opportunity to join a roundtable with Xero CEO Sukhinder Singh Cassidy, alongside other industry leaders, to discuss AI, the future of accounting and how firms are evolving in a rapidly changing landscape.
Beyond the sessions, Xerocon was a fantastic opportunity to catch up with clients, partners and friends from across the profession, hear from inspiring speakers, and bring home fresh ideas that will ultimately benefit the businesses we support 🤝
A huge thank you to the team for another fantastic event. We're already looking forward to next year!
