RPA cyber cover: is your academy trust up to standard? ⚠️

Most academy trusts fund their equivalent of business insurance through the Department for Education’s Risk Protection Arrangement (RPA) rather than commercial cover, and RPA now extends to cyber incidents.

RPA cyber cover only applies if four conditions are met. See what they are, where Cyber Essentials fits, and what to check now. 👇 🔗 https://www.pricebailey.co.uk/blog/rpa-cyber-cover/

Why listening matters.

World Mental Health Day may have been yesterday, but the importance of listening continues all year round.

As part of this year's theme, Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change, we asked our Wellbeing and Mental Health Ambassadors why it's important that people feel heard when talking about their mental health.

Stella Athanasiadou, Partner & Wellbeing and Mental Health Ambassador, said:
"When people feel genuinely heard when talking about their mental health at work, it can make a huge difference. Active listening is a choice and is done consciously. It means giving someone your full attention, without interrupting or judging them. This can help reduce feelings of isolation and shame and reminding people that they are not alone. It also helps create an environment where people feel safe, trusted and comfortable asking for support when they need it. Having these conversations early can help tackle challenges before they become overwhelming.

From a workplace perspective, active listening is vital because it helps build a supportive culture where people feel valued, morale is higher and colleagues can be open about how they are feeling without worrying about being misunderstood or judged."

The power of feeling heard.

Today is World Mental Health Day. This year's theme, Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change, highlights the importance of listening to people's experiences and creating environments where people feel comfortable speaking openly about their mental health.

To mark the day, we asked our Wellbeing and Mental Health Ambassadors why it's important that people feel heard when talking about their mental health.

Zoe Masterson, Payroll Manager & Wellbeing and Mental Health Ambassador, said:
"For me, it is vital that people feel heard when talking about their mental health, as this is the foundation of feeling supported and understood. People do not always need solutions, sometimes they simply need someone to listen without judgement. In a work environment, this can encourage openness, build trust and reinforce that their wellbeing matters. I believe it can make a real difference to how someone feels, knowing they have people they can speak to freely and honestly."

Why does feeling heard matter when talking about mental health?

This year's theme, Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change, highlights the importance of listening to people's experiences and creating positive change through open conversations about mental health.

Ahead of World Mental Health Day tomorrow, we asked our Wellbeing and Mental Health Ambassadors why it's important that people feel heard when talking about their mental health.

Parry Jackson, Partner & Wellbeing and Mental Health Ambassador, said:
"Often, it can be really difficult for those struggling with their mental health to open up and speak honestly about the worries, concerns and challenges they are facing. Feeling heard can help someone feel understood, supported and less alone. It can also build trust and encourage people to talk more openly about how they are feeling, which may make it easier for them to access the support they need and take positive steps towards improving their mental wellbeing."

What are turnover leases and are they right for you?

A turnover lease is a lease in which the tenant’s rent, usually a retail tenant’s, is determined in part or entirely by the turnover generated from the premises.

Once treated as a short-term fix for landlords struggling to fill vacant units, turnover leases are now an established structure across retail and shopping centre lettings. 🔗 👇https://www.pricebailey.co.uk/blog/turnover-leases-right/
