Choosing a financial adviser isn't just about qualifications or investment performance.
It's about finding someone who takes the time to understand your goals, explains your options clearly and helps you make informed decisions.
In this short video, Jack Parte shares five things worth looking for before taking financial advice.
We've explored this topic in more detail in our latest article, 5 Things to Look for Before Choosing a Financial Adviser. Read it here: http://bit.ly/4eUZOgR

One of the more surprising conversations we have with clients is about spending money. Not because they don't have enough, but because they don't feel comfortable doing it.
After decades of saving, investing and planning for the future, many people find spending far more difficult than they expected.
Our latest article explores why that happens and why financial planning isn't just about building wealth, but knowing how and when to enjoy it.

Death and inheritance tax aren't topics most families rush to talk about.
But avoiding the conversation doesn't make it go away.
With significant inheritance tax changes due to come into force in 2027, more families are finding themselves asking important questions about pensions, estate planning and how to make things easier for loved ones in the future.
That's exactly what we'll be discussing in our upcoming webinar.
More details coming soon.

One thing that stood out to us while looking at the upcoming inheritance tax changes was this:
The challenge isn't always the tax itself.
It's the administration.
It's the fact that someone, often a spouse or child, may be left trying to piece together years of financial information while also coping with loss. Tracking down pensions, contacting providers, pulling together information from different places. All while emotions are running high.
Good financial planning isn't always about saving money.
Sometimes it's about making sure the right information is in the right place, so the people around you aren't left trying to figure it all out themselves.
We've written more about that in our latest article:

Financial planning is rarely about a single meeting or transaction.
For Michael Hamill, our Director and Financial Planner, it's about building relationships that last for years - and often generations.
In this video, Michael shares his journey into financial advice, what a typical day looks like, and why taking a long-term approach to client relationships matters so much to the way we work.

Our very own Jack, one our Financial Planners here at Navigate, is taking part in a 100km Charity Cycle in aid of Charis Cancer Care this coming Sunday!
The "Tour of East Tyrone" will see Jack join other cyclists for a full day of cycling in a bid to raise much needed funds to help ensure nobody faces cancer alone in NI.
A great cause and no better man for it. If you'd like to donate please check out - https://tinyurl.com/2hjvfn53
Good luck Jack! 🩵🚴

It's surprisingly easy to lose track of a pension.
One from your first job, another from an employer you left years ago, a small pension pot that's been sitting in the background ever since.
For years, that might not have seemed like a big issue.
But as inheritance tax rules change, knowing where your pensions are held and making sure everything is properly organised could become much more important for the people you leave behind.
We've written more about why in our latest article:
