✒️Mid-month, the US and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the aim of reaching a comprehensive settlement within two months. The oil price eased to pre-war levels and inflationary concerns faded, reducing expectations of further rate hikes.
🌍Led by the S&P 500 and Nasdaq, global markets delivered a volatile performance during the period, as investors weighed up the high AI capex plans against weak earnings visibility and high valuations.
💰SpaceX’s initial public offering on 12 June was one for the record books. Offered at $135 per share, the price rose to $165 on the first day of trading. It became the first new listing to reach a market value above $1 trillion on the first day of trading.

WFM Team conquers the Cotswolds Way Trek for The Charitable Foundation 🗺️🏔️

Last Saturday, the WFM team were ready for 6:30am ⏰ and joined forces with other staff and Partners from across St. James's' Place to tackle the Cotswolds Way Trek 🥾.

Tach, Carrie and Veronica pushed hard to complete a staggering 14.5 miles with nearly 3000 ft of elevation in the 5-peak challenge 🏔️💪.

Richard kept the momentum going to finish the 10-peak challenge as part of our fundraising mission 🥇.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we smashed our target by 32%, raising £2060 for The Charitable Foundation 💷✨, which supports disadvantaged children and young adults in the UK and abroad 🌍. This will be matched by SJP meaning the charity will receive £4120!!

The wider SJP team has raised over £12.5k to date and is still climbing 📈👏.

A fantastic day at Alderley Edge Cricket Club for the Sporting Lunch 2026 last Thursday! 🌞🏏

📈 Stock Take - Rise in UK political uncertainty. After weeks of speculation and growing pressure, Keir Starmer announced his resignation as prime minister on 22 June.
💷 Wealth Check - HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) is increasing its scrutiny of tax payments made by entrepreneurs following certain types of business sale. This is due to disputes over the type of tax which should apply in these complex cases.
📷 In The Picture - British exports to the EU have been gradually declining since the start of the millennium, with other markets taking a greater market share.

📈 Stock Take - The US and Iran have agreed on a framework peace agreement, announced late on Sunday and due to be signed later this week. The memorandum of understanding, which sent markets soaring on Monday morning, should see the immediate toll-free opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

💷 Wealth Check - The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published a consultation into its proposed mortgage rule changes. It would give lenders greater flexibility to lend to certain groups of borrowers.

🌳🚶‍➡️Team Training For The Cotswolds Way Trek🚶‍➡️🏔️

The Wilkinson Financial Management team spent last Sunday morning at The Roaches in the Peak District. The group covered 7 miles in 2 hours to help build the stamina they’ll need for the big day on 27th June 2026 when they will complete the Cotswolds Way Trek.

As you may be aware, all proceeds for the Cotswolds Way Trek will go to the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation who help disadvantaged children and young people both in the UK and abroad.

Well done to our team for their dedication last weekend and previously when they visited the Shining Tor, Cheshire! (Photos included)
