JOB VACANCY

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team.

The duties of the position will be to handle and overview the day-to-day accounting functions, for a portfolio of international clients and prepare accurate accounting records, ensuring compliance with Cyprus VAT regulations and liaise with the auditors.



Key Responsibilities:

- Implement accounting records of day-to-day financial transactions based on accounting policies and standards in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts (banks, intercompany, suppliers, customers)
- Assist in the preparation of accounting reports – monthly management accounts
Preparation and submission of VAT and VIES forms
- Preparation and submission of tax forms IR1, IR7 and others
- Meeting deadlines for monthly closings and reconciliations, preliminary review and analysis of the trial Balance, while providing explanations when requested
- Documenting and filing accounting transactions in an organised manner
- Handle payroll and employee-related matters
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.
- Assist with clients’ bank payments when required.


Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in a similar accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of Cyprus tax, VAT regulations.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Greek
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Pleasant personality, professionalism, ability to work in a team, and ability to work under pressure
