BT Team Spotlight: Evan Sharp - CEO & Partner

Evan joined our Saskatoon office in 2013 after graduating from the University of Saskatchewan. He received his designation in 2015 was admitted to partnership in 2023. Evan became the CEO in 2024.

Evan provides accounting, tax planning and business advisory services for private small to medium owner-managed enterprises and individuals. This includes exposure in many industries that include agricultural, construction, manufacturing, retail and professionals.

In October 2025, Evan was one of 3 recipients of the CPA Saskatchewan Early Achievement Award.

A dedicated volunteer in the community, Evan is currently a Director for TCU Place, and has been involved with many organizations.

Today, we join in the ongoing process of reconciliation, remembering the victims and survivors of the residential school system and all those impacted by its legacy. At Baker Tilly, we view the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as an opportunity to reflect on the injustices of the past, while honouring the courage and resilience of those who continue on the journey toward healing.

BT Team Spotlight: Michael Thompson - Principal

Mike joined our Yorkton office in 2010 after graduating from the University of Saskatchewan. He received his designation in 2014 and moved to the Principal role in 2017.

Mike primarily works with small to medium sized businesses in a wide range of industries. He provides his client base with tax, accounting and advisory services.

A dedicated volunteer in the community, Mike has been involved with the Yorkton Kinsmen Club, the Paper Bag Players Theatre Company and the Yorkton Terriers.

We are excited to attend today's Career Fair at the University of Regina.

In early September our Baker Tilly Yorkton office had our 40th Annual Golf tournament. The weather was cool but the golf shots were hot....and it was a great day.

Thanks to Al and the staff at Deer Park Golf Course - as always the course was in great shape. Also, thanks to the Owl's Nest for keeping us all hydrated and setting us up with an outstanding meal.
