Community spotlight for this month is the Surrey Hospice Society, an organization that provides compassionate support, comfort and care to individuals and families navigating grief, loss and end-of-life journeys.

This past Saturday, the Surrey Hospice Society hosted their Memorial Butterfly release. This year's event held special meaning for a member of the Areti team. She had experienced the immense loss of an important person in her life earlier this year. Surrounded by family it was a moment to remember, and honor loved ones who have passed away. Each butterfly represents a cherished life, a lasting memory and a moment of reflection.

Witnessing hundreds of butterflies take flight served as a powerful reminder that while grief is deeply personal, no one has to face it alone. The event created a space for healing, connection, and hope, while celebrating the lives and memories of those who continue to inspire us.

We are grateful to the Surrey Hospice Society for the meaningful work they do in our community and for creating opportunities like the Memorial Butterfly Release that bring comfort, support, and remembrance to so many families.
