It's with mixed emotions that I announce the closing of my business, Smart Financial Habits.
First of all, thank you to all of my clients for putting your trust in me, for taking the time to better your cash flow every week, and for pushing through on those deficit weeks (it's an emotional roller coaster), I sincerely appreciate you!!π
I set out to help individuals and families improve their cash flow so that they could do and buy whatever they wanted...easier said than done no doubt. But I can honestly say that I felt like I did that. Maybe they weren't in the green every week but when they kept their spending habits top of mind and consciously understood what their money was doing week to week, they were able to stay on top of their finances and even saw a shift in their spending. When they missed a week or two, well it showed.π
Moral of the story is, it's so easy to spend money these days with tap and online purchasing so please please please, take a look at your purchases once in a while and you'll do yourself a huge favour (I still use my cash flow spreadsheet)!!πΈ
For my business, I learned a lot about how an online business functions, the time it takes to build a website, how to acquire clients, and how to generate a following on social media. I'll throw that into the experience column and run with it to my next venture, because there will definitely be another one! π
Thank you to everyone who supported me and my business!!π

Let the festivities begin and your cash flow be bright! π
The holidays can put a strain on your cash flow but here are some tips to manage your spending:
Β° Start early! This will make paying off your credit card more manageable π
Β° Find sales! Black Friday is right around the corner and you can find great savings on gifts that your family and friends actually want π
Β° Avoid last minute shopping! We've all been there, so make this year different. You spend more and buy unnecessary gifts for no reason π
Β° Set a limit! Our family has chosen to do Secret Santa with a spending limit of $100 - try Elfster.com to randomize who you buy for π

Spending can be like a roller coaster so try not to worry if you've had a negative week. Unexpected expenses can and will occur, no need to stress. π’
Try to see what happened in the past week and adjust for the week ahead. Have a large purchase you need to make in the future? Be frugal this week so you can afford what you want next week! ππ
