🚨 AMERICA’S TIPPING PROBLEM: The average American now gets hit with a tip prompt 10 times a month.
And 44% admit they tip somewhere they know it isn’t warranted at least once a week.
We’re not always tipping for service anymore.
Sometimes we’re just paying to make the awkward moment disappear.
I do it too.
The screen flips around, the cashier looks at me, and suddenly I’m deciding whether pressing “NO TIP” makes me a terrible person.
That two-second moment might be the whole business model.
A 25% tip on a $3.72 coffee is 93 cents.
Do that every workday and you’re spending roughly $232 a year on tips for transactions where you may have received almost no additional service.
I have ZERO problem tipping servers, bartenders, delivery workers, or someone who carried my couch upstairs.
That’s actual effort.
But handing me a coffee through a window?
That’s called doing the job.
The bigger problem is that businesses have shifted part of their labor costs onto customers.
And customers often feel guilty saying no faster than companies feel guilty asking.
💬 Has tipping culture officially gone too far?

🚨 IMPORTANT: Five years sounds like plenty of time—until your parents suddenly need long-term care.
Medicaid covers a HUGE share of nursing-home costs in the U.S.
But many families don’t realize that Medicaid estate recovery is real.
After someone dies, the state can seek repayment from the estate for certain long-term-care benefits Medicaid paid.
That can potentially put a family home at risk.
One strategy attorneys may discuss is an irrevocable trust established and funded well in advance.
But there’s one VERY important word: irrevocable.
You give up ownership and control of the asset.
And then there’s the five-year look-back period.
The clock generally starts when the transfer is actually made—not when you start thinking about protecting the assets.
A private nursing-home room can cost roughly $130,000 a year.
Waiting until a health crisis happens can dramatically reduce your options.
If your parents own a home and are in their 60s or 70s, this is something worth discussing with a qualified elder-law attorney BEFORE a crisis happens.
💬 Do most families understand Medicaid estate recovery and the five-year look-back rule?

🚨 BREAKOUT: Cathie Wood says Bitcoin is breaking out against GOLD.
The BTC-to-gold ratio has reached 18, its strongest level since January.
Bitcoin has surged 22% over the past month, while gold is up just 2%.
Yet BTC is slipping below $80,000 ahead of the Fed’s rate decision.
Wood says Bitcoin still has “miles to go” as part of the global monetary system.

🚨 BREAKING: 🇺🇸 U.S. bond investors just suffered their WORST 10-year return in 223 years.
The rolling 10-year return on U.S. Treasury bonds fell to -1.85% as of August 2026.
That means investors holding Treasuries over the past decade lost money, even before accounting for inflation.
Since 1793, the average annual rolling 10-year return has been 5.41%.
Is this a warning that the traditional bond portfolio is broken?

🚨 JUST IN: 🐳 Bitcoin short-term whale unrealized profits have hit a RECORD $9.07 BILLION.
According to CryptoQuant, it’s the highest level seen in the metric’s history since 2016.
That massive paper profit could increase the risk of profit-taking if BTC weakens.
However, unrealized profits do NOT mean whales are already selling.
💬 Is Bitcoin heading for a whale-driven sell-off, or will buyers absorb the supply?

🚨 BREAKING: 🇯🇵 Bank of Japan is expected to hike its key interest rate by 0.25 percentage points at its September meeting.
That would take the policy rate to 1.25%.
Markets are increasingly pricing in the move as inflation, wage growth, and yen weakness keep pressure on the BOJ.
A BOJ hike could have major implications for the yen, Japanese bonds, global markets, and the carry trade.
💬 Will the BOJ finally deliver a 25-basis-point hike in September?

🚨 BREAKING: 🇺🇸🇮🇷 US Navy SEALs reportedly spent FOUR months secretly clearing Iranian mines from the Strait of Hormuz.
Small teams of divers operated mostly at night using inflatable boats.
Unmanned vessels and submersibles scanned the seabed with sonar to locate explosives.
The International Maritime Organization estimated Iran had deployed roughly 80 mines along vital shipping lanes.
Since the clearance, traffic through the strait has surged nearly 400%.
Trump said “all mines” in international waters had been removed or destroyed.
